Reading e-mail with POP3
The most common way to retreive your e-mail is by using the POP3 protocol. This protocol is used by your emailclient (for example Outlook or Thunderbird) to communicate with our mailserver. If you want to retrieve your e-mail this way you will need 3 pieces of information, which are always supplied to you when you create a new e-mailaddress in the Customer Care Center (CCC):
  • POP3 username
This is the same as your e-mailaddress. If your e-mailaddress is john@mydomain.com, your username is also john@mydomain.com.

  • POP3 password
This is the password that was supplied to you when you created the e-mailaddress in the CCC. You can also change the password in the CCC.

  • POP3 server name
The Primerelay POP3 server is pop.primerelay.net.

With these information you can configure your emailclient to get mail from the Primerelay mailserver. For more information on how to configure your emailclient please consult its documentation.
